Are We Not Human Beings To Appear On TV?-King Promise & Kuami Eugene Lookalikes Blasts AMG Medikal

The lookalike trend has been taking over Ghana for quite some time now, with many self-proclaimed duplicates of celebrities popping up on social media.

While some may find it amusing, others, like AMG Medikal, are not too thrilled about it.

In a recent video uploaded to social media, Medikal expressed his displeasure with the trend, particularly calling out the media for promoting the lookalikes.

“The media is promoting them, and it’s not fair,” Medikal said.

“They are not celebrities, and they are not doing anything special. They are just copying other people’s looks.”

Medikal’s words did not sit well with the Kuami Eugene and King Promise lookalikes, who appear to be the leaders of the lookalike association.

In a video response, the duo slammed Medikal for his comments and defended their right to appear on TV.

“We are human beings too, and there’s nothing wrong with us appearing on TV,” the King Promise lookalike said.

“The media is not only for celebrities; it’s for everyone.”

The Kuami Eugene lookalike also took the opportunity to call out Medikal for apparently threatening them with his fans.

“We don’t appreciate being threatened by your fans,” he said. “We are just having fun, and we don’t want any trouble.”

The lookalikes also pointed out that their resemblance to the celebrities they emulate has brought them some opportunities, including gigs and appearances on TV shows.

“We have gotten some opportunities because of our looks, and we are grateful for that,” the King Promise lookalike said.

“We are not doing anything wrong, and we don’t see why anyone should have a problem with it.”

The back and forth between the lookalikes and Medikal has sparked a debate on social media, with some people supporting the trend and others condemning it.

While some may find the trend harmless fun, others argue that it trivializes the hard work and talent of actual celebrities.

It remains to be seen how this controversy will play out, but one thing is for sure – the lookalikes are not backing down anytime soon.
