Actor and religious critic Sean Paul has been released from police custody after spending two days behind bars.
His arrest stemmed from a complaint filed by Prophet Adom Kyei Duah, accusing Sean Paul of defamation.
On a recent RTV appearance, Sean Paul alleged that Adom Kyei Duah extorted money from church members and engaged in exploitative sales practices within the church premises.
The prophet took offense and reported Sean Paul to the authorities, leading to his arrest and subsequent court appearance.
However, the court has dismissed the case, and Sean Paul has been cleared of all charges. His release brings an end to the drama, but the public remains divided on the issues of free speech and religious scrutiny.
