A Nigerian lady who recently moved to the United Kingdom in search of better opportunities has expressed her regret after discovering the scarcity of jobs in the country.
The lady, who chose to remain anonymous, said that contrary to what some Nigerians who relocated to the UK had been saying about the abundance of job opportunities, there’s actually no work available.
In a video that has since gone viral, the lady narrated her ordeal, revealing that she had been applying for jobs since she arrived in the country but hasn’t been able to secure one. She said she had submitted her CV to various places but has not received any positive response.
The lady appeared to be frustrated as she blamed those who had deceived her into believing that there were plenty of jobs in the UK. She captioned the video: “You see those saying that there is work in the UK they are lying to you; no work available. Since I’ve been here, I’ve applied online tirelessly. I have submitted up to 50 applications ‘unfortunately-unfortunately’ is all I’ve been getting.”
