A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to share her story of heartbreak after her boyfriend of 11 years left her for another woman.
The lady, who goes by the Twitter handle @dees_laundry, revealed that she had been with her ex-partner since she was 20 years old, and had dedicated 10 years of her life to him.
In a series of tweets, @dees_laundry explained that she had never shared her story before, but was inspired to do so by a similar experience shared by another woman on the platform.
She revealed that her ex-boyfriend was her second partner, as her first had molested her. She went on to say that her whole life had revolved around her relationship with her ex-boyfriend, and that she had never experienced what it felt like to have a boyfriend in school.
After graduating from university, her ex-boyfriend asked her to move in with him, and she agreed. She even helped him to build and furnish his house. However, little did she know that he was seeing another woman behind her back, and he eventually left her to marry the other woman.
The heartbroken woman said that her ex-boyfriend claimed he had never loved her and that meeting the other woman had opened his eyes to this fact. She was devastated by the betrayal and spent over a year depressed.
@dees_laundry’s story has struck a chord with many on social media, who have expressed sympathy and support for her.
Her story is a reminder that women should never settle for less than they deserve, and that it is never too late to find love and happiness.
