Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Ghanaian Black Star international goalkeeper has been named as the best goalkeeper of the 2022/23 season in the Swiss Super League.
The St Gallen shot-stopper received the award on Wednesday night, and was also selected as the first-choice goalkeeper for the team of the season.
The 26-year-old beat competition from three other goalkeepers to be the first choice for the Golden 11 of the 2022-23 season.
The talented shot-stopper displayed exceptional skills, agility, and consistency throughout the campaign, earning the honor from the Swiss Association of Football Players, the Switzerland branch of FIFPro.

Throughout the league, Ati-Zigi has featured in 30 matches, managing to keep three clean sheets.
The statistics speak volumes about Ati-Zigi’s impact on the pitch. He faced a remarkable total of 146 shots during the 30 league games he played, displaying his agility and shot-stopping abilities.
Of those shots, he saved an impressive 103, making him the goalkeeper with the highest number of saves in the entire league.
Ati-Zigi pulled up an outstanding save rate of 70 percent.
