The much-anticipated premiere of “A Country Called Ghana,” directed by Fiifi Gha bin and produced by Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin, has been a resounding success.
The National Theatre event on Friday, May 17, 2024, sold out all seats, drawing an impressive turnout of Ghanaian and Nigerian celebrities.
Notable attendees included Medikal, Kalybos, Guru, and Akrobeto. The event also saw the presence of personalities such as Awilo Sharp Sharp, Ahuofe Patri, David Osei, D Cryme, and Kofi Akpaloo, leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG).
The star-studded gathering contributed to the event’s spectacular atmosphere. Attendees, speaking to GhanaWeekend, commended Lilwin for orchestrating such a successful premiere.
“A Country Called Ghana” is a collaborative effort between Ghanaian and Nigerian talents, featuring renowned actors like Ramsey Nouah, Charles Awurum, Victor Osuagwu (Awilo Sharp Sharp), PAA George, Sweet Mimi, and Lilwin himself.
Following its successful launch in Accra, the film’s premiere tour will continue at the KNUST CCB Auditorium in Kumasi on May 25 and will conclude at the Eubsett Hotel in Sunyani on June 1, 2024.
