Afua Asantewaa, a broadcast journalist, TV host and entrepreneur is on her way to set a world record for the longest singing marathon by an individual – the Guinness WOrld Record Sing-a-thon.
Asantewaa’s quest involves a three-day singing marathon, exclusively dedicated to Ghanaian songs, with a target of 110 hours.
The event aims to promote various Ghanaian music genres, including gospel, highlife, and hiplife.
Sunil Waghmare, an Indian, currently holds the record for the longest singing marathon, achieving 105 hours in 2012.
Afua amidst his quest has attracted a number of support from Ghanaians and many in the country and abroad.
So far, a list of Ghanaian celebrities and influencers who have stormed Akwaaba Village in Airport to support Afua Asantewaa quest has surfaced with myself, @withAlvin__ being on number 37.
