Dancehall musician Shatta Wale has received harsh criticism for giving his fiancée a “cheap or fake” watch for her birthday.
On social media, Wale boasted about the birthday presents he bought for his girlfriend Maali, including a Rolex watch, two iPhone 15s, and other items.
Wale claims that he blew a lot of money on Maali.
After Serwaa Amihere wished Maali a happy birthday on social media and asked Wale to spoil her, he said this.
“Happy birthday to my daughter Maali! On my behalf, please have @shattawalehgh buy her a big-ticket item.
“I adore both of you. Happy birthday, my sweetheart,” Amihere wrote.
In response to Amihere’s post, Wale declared: “I bought her a 9,200-pound Rolex and two iPhone 15s.”
“I hope you realise she has supported me through my dark times. She deserves it, and your dawta is chilling in London,”
