Man Accused of Defiling His 7-Months-Old Daughter

A young man identified as Simon Emeka has been accused and remanded by the Makurdi Chief Magistrate Court for allegedly defiling his 7-months-old daughter.

Simon Emeka, the 38-year-old father was alleged to have raped her daughter.

An account by the Sergeant Friday Kanshio during the court proceedings revealed that Mr. Simon Emeka was reported by one Madam Josephine Habba.

“In her account, she said on the same date she went to Jestic Hospital in Makurdi with her daughter for treatment and she heard one Mrs. Favour Emeka crying and telling a nurse that her seven-month-old baby girl was raped by her husband Simon Emeka.”

Simon Emeka was arrested for committing such a crime which is contrary to section 391 and 284 of the Penal Code Law of Benue State.”

The Prosecuting officer further revealed that investigations are still ongoing and pleaded with the court for another date for the prosecution to prove its case to the court.
