A young man has confessed to attempting to sell his daughter for an amount of GH¢50,000 because of a hardship he was going through in his life.
The suspect, 22-year-old Frank Abisah, is currently at the Berekum police station following a tip-off by neighbors who suspected him of planning to commit an evil crime.
The arrest was confirmed by the Divisional Police Commander of Berekum, ACP Ebenezer Ampofo, who revealed that the police were yet to investigate the situation.
The suspect, Frank Abisah, confessed to reporters the reason why he attempted to sell his daughter. According to him, he has three daughters and wanted to sell one, so he can use the proceeds to start a business.
