Ghana’s has recorded a total number of 636 cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) as of Tuesday, April 14, 2020.
The President has extended the restrictions on movement imposed on Kasoa, Greater Accra and Ashanti Regions by an additional week while the ban on social gatherings has also been extended by an additional two weeks.
One of the things to be considered in this lockdown period is hunger. Most people live by hand to mouth every day. In Africa, only a limited number of people can survive hard times like this as most people are living in poverty.

Although the government and some benevolent citizens are trying their possible best to reach out to these poor and vulnerable people in society, some are still suffering to cater for themselves in this crucial time.
A new video is currently circulating on social media capturing the moment an unidentified man slumped and refused to wake up until he was given food. Shortly after eating, he got up to his feet hale and hearty.
He was then given some money by good Samaritans as he continued his journey.
In the video, people were heard saying he must have been left with nothing to eat as a result of the lockdown imposed on some parts of the country.
