A young man has reportedly been stabbed over a piece of ‘wele’ by his best friend in Kotobabi, a suburb in Greater Accra.
The man believed to be in his middle age is friend with the culprit who stabbed him.
According to reports gathered by OccupyGh.com, the two men bought waakye with two eggs and three pieces of goat skin (wele). They finished eating everything and it was just left with one piece of wele which none of them was willing to share.
“It looked like they were joking until one of them put the last piece in his mouth and begun to chew it…
In no time, the other one grabbed the knife of the waakye seller and stabbed his friend.” an eyewitness said.
The man who was stabbed is responding to treatment in the hospital while the other has gone into hiding after stealing another piece of wele from someone else’s plate.
