26 Nigerians were arrested by the police in Kasoa, a suburb in Ghana for online fraud activities.
According to reports gathered by occupygh.com, the suspects including two females were arrested following an intelligence the Ghana police received.
Three houses were reportedly raided and the suspects who happen to be Nigerians, numbering 26 were arrested.
The Deputy Police commander Amaning Oduro who confirmed the arrest said they retrieved 31 laptops, 26 mobile phones, five machetes, and substances suspected to be Indian hemp from the suspects. The suspects are expected to be screened, and those found culpable would be processed to court.
The Central East Police Commander, DCOP Okyere Boapeah, added that Ghanaian landlords should not hesitate in reporting any Nigerian tenants to Immigration officials before renting out a house to them.
