Barbara, a Ghanaian bride, revealed an unusual love tale on her wedding day, outlining the special search process she and the groom, Dennis, went through.
Barbara recalled how their relationship began as a sibling relationship because their families had rented adjoining apartments when they were 5 and 7 years old. Barbara is a Luxury Event/Wedding Vlogger.
Barbara explained that because Dennis’s own father wasn’t around, her father had acted as a father figure in his life.
They developed a close bond over time, treating one another like brothers and even referring to potential suitors as their respective “in-laws.” But they lost touch as life took them in various paths.
Dennis didn’t reveal his feelings for Barbara until much later, during a talk. He acknowledged that he had been attracted to her but had been hesitant because of how like they were to siblings.
The two started dating after telling their families and obtaining their approval, which finally led to the day of their wedding.
