Earlier today, there were reports circulating that Nollywood actor, Junior Pope, tragically lost his life in a boating accident on the Anam River.
According to multiple sources, the actor drowned, despite efforts to rescue him proving unsuccessful.
The news of his sudden passing has left the Nigerian entertainment industry in shock, especially since he was returning home after shooting a movie. So far, four bodies have been recovered, with authorities still searching for others.
Junior Pope, who has been married to his wife for over a decade, leaves behind three sons.
Last year, the couple celebrated the unveiling of their newly built mansion. Known for his roles in films such as “Wrong Initiation,” “We Meet Again,” and “Eye of the Eagle,” Junior Pope has accumulated over 25 acting credits throughout his career.

Born Pope Obumneme Odonwodo, he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Luke Odonwodo.
