Menstrual Hygiene Day: Samira Bawumia Donates Sanitary Pads to Schools in Ga Central Municipality

On Menstrual Hygiene Day 2024, Second Lady Samira Bawumia demonstrated her commitment to supporting young girls’ health and well-being by distributing packs of sanitary pads to students from Odorgonnor SHS and 18 other basic schools in the Ga Central Municipality.

This initiative aimed to promote menstrual hygiene and address the challenges many girls face in managing their periods.

The Second Lady’s gesture was met with gratitude and enthusiasm from the beneficiaries, who often lack access to essential sanitary products.

This donation will help ensure that these young girls can attend school with dignity and confidence, without worrying about their menstrual health.
