Missing Woman Found in Belly of Python in South Sulawesi

A tragic discovery was made in the Kalempang village of South Sulawesi province when a woman, declared missing days earlier, was found inside a massive python.

The woman, identified as 45-year-old Farida, a mother of four, went missing on Thursday night. Her husband, deeply worried about her disappearance, alerted the community, prompting a search.

Despite their efforts, Farida did not return home that night. The search continued until villagers noticed a python with an unusually large belly.

According to Suardi, a local resident, “Her husband found her belongings, which made him suspicious. The villagers then searched the area and soon spotted the python.”

Upon cutting open the snake’s stomach, they made the grim discovery: Farida’s head was immediately visible. Her body was recovered from the python on Friday, ending the search in the most heartbreaking manner.
