Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former Governor of Lagos State has been declared the winner of the presidential seat for Nigeria and also the President of Nigeria following the 2013 general election.
Tinubu, the 70-year-old veteran politician got 37% of the vote, official results show.
His main rival Atiku Abubakar polled 29%, and Labour’s Peter Obi pulled 25%.
Although both parties have earlier declared the poll a shame and had demanded a rerun, Tinubu was finally declared the winner.
