A 39-year-old mother carrying a 5-year-old child jumped off the roof of a building on Sunday afternoon, January 10, killing both himself and the child, police have announced.
The mother, Oksana Patchin, of Brooklyn, USA, and her daughter, Olivia, were quickly taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell.
They reportedly did not survive.
According to the details privy to OccupyGh.com, The mother leaped off the 13-story building on W. 53rd St. near 11th Ave. in Hell’s Kitchen about 1:30 p.m., on Sunday according to police.
NYPD sources have revealed that she did not leave a suicide note.
