The Ghana Police Service has arrested the Member of Parliament for Asutifi South, Alhaji Collins Dauda, in connection with the violent disturbances that marred the voter registration exercise at Kukuom in the Ahafo Region.
The incident, which occurred on Saturday, 11th May 2024, resulted in one person sustaining injuries and is currently receiving medical attention.
The incident has sparked widespread condemnation from various quarters, with many calling for calm and peaceful conduct during the electoral process.
The Police have launched a thorough investigation into the matter and are currently pursuing other suspects believed to be involved in the incident.
