In an exclusive interview on Joy Prime’s Prime Morning show, the sensational MzVee threw more light on her two-year break from music production.

The musician who recently released a hit song, Sherriff, after a hiatus and breakaway from Lynx Entertainment stated that she had been in a dark place, depression.

She explained that in 2017 she was having a hard time because she was so focused on her work, tour, studio sessions and interviews.
“I was moving from place to place, studio to studio, not giving any attention to my own well-being” she said.

MzVee lamented on the fact that she neglected her family and friends and most importantly, taking care of herself which led her into a state of depression.

Speaking on her new single “Sherriff”, the award-winning dancehall diva revealed her inspiration for the song. She indicated that the song was written by a Jamaican musician who died before he got to release the song.

She really liked it because she found it relatable to how she was feeling at that moment and made some changes to the song to reflect her image and experiences.“…the song reflects new life..” she said
