Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO, the running mate to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has defended his recent controversial remarks comparing President Akufo-Addo’s achievements to those of former President Kwame Nkrumah.
During a visit to Tetretre Okuamoah Sekyim II, Omanhene of the Wassa-Amenfi Traditional Area, NAPO claimed that his statements had been taken out of context.
He reiterated his belief that President Akufo-Addo has accomplished more than any other president in the history of Ghana’s Fourth Republic, including Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
NAPO emphasized that he is not afraid to speak the truth, even if it offends others, as he was raised to uphold honesty.
He insisted that his comments reflect a harsh reality that Ghanaians are reluctant to acknowledge.
Since his unveiling, NAPO has been trending on social media due to his remarks.
