Self-imposed exile businessman, Nana Appiah Mensah is not owing only customers of his defunct gold dealership company, Menzgold Ghana Limited, staff of Zylofon FM are also crying over unpaid salaries.
One of the workers at the East-Legon based radio station, Blakk Rasta has lamented in an interview with STV Africa that they have not been paid their salaries for the past nine months.
According to the broadcaster, things have been rough for them ever since the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) asked Menzgold to halt operations because it is not properly licensed.
Despite rumours that Zylofon FM has stopped broadcasting, the controversial radio presenter refuted those claims stating that they have been working 24/7 and producing quality content.
He stated that they’re going through challenges, he wishes his boss pays customers before paying attention to staff. He also revealed that some of the workers who couldn’t stand the hardships have left the company but he and others have remained to push forward its agenda.
He told SVTV Africa that his boss has been praising the staff for their resilience during these nine months of not being paid salaries. He shockingly revealed that ‘For nine months now, we have been working without salary but there’s vim. We are not worried at all’.
