New York City is offering a whopping $170,000 per year job to help “exterminate” rats in the city.
According to details available to OccupyGh.com, New York City is hiring a ‘rat czar’ to help win their war against rats in the free city.
Mayor Eric Adams’s administration posted a job listing this week seeking someone to lead the city’s long-running battle against rats. The official job title is “director of rodent mitigation”, although it was promptly dubbed the rat czar. The salary range is $120,000 to $170,000.
“The ideal candidate is highly-motivated and somewhat bloodthirsty, determined to look at all solutions from various angles, including improving operational efficiency, data collection, technology innovation, trash management, and wholesale slaughter,” reads that ad.
New York has over 2,000,000 rats that come out a night.
