A piece of breaking news reaching us from Nigeria indicates that Super Eagle’s national coach Austin Eguavoen has resigned as the interim technical adviser after losing the World Cup spot to Ghana in the playoff in Abuja.
According to Blueprint, a source in the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) disclosed that he decided to step down following Nigeria’s failure to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.

The FIFA World Cup is scheduled to be held in Qatar between Nov and Dec. 2022.
The source told Blueprint that Eguavoen has handed over his resignation letter to NFF.
Brila FM said he will now return to his role as Technical Director of all national teams.
NFF is, however, yet to release an official statement.
