Nigerians are currently reacting over the trending photo of delicious Egusi soup that a Nigerian man who based in Germany prepared and rate it as poor soup.
The man identified as Nedu took to his Facebook account and drop the photo of the soup that has got people talking and wonder if people in Germany are also experiencing the same Lockdown that Nigerians are facing.
Sharing the delicious soup online, Nedu said this is his first time to manage 500 Euro to cook the poor egusi soup. He also said that ever since he started living in Germany he has never made a pot of soup as poor as the one he just shared but he has no option than to prepare this one because things are very difficult for him via this lockdown.
This statement only got Nigerian to throw shades at him because of what 500 euro means when you exchange it to naira currency.
Many are currently reacting with anger suggesting they shouldn’t have shared the soup online because the majority of people viewing the soup have nothing at home to eat.
Some slammed him for mocking them with his soup rather than doing a giveaway to help the less privilege ones here in Nigerian.
It might interest you to know that Nigerian Egusi Soup is a soup thickened with ground melon seeds and contains leafy and other vegetables. It is one of the most popular soups prepared by most tribes in Nigeria with considerable variation and often eaten with dishes like Pounded Yams. Prepare it with goat, beef, fish, or shellfish!
