Nii Lantey Vanderpuye Brutalized By National Security Operative In James Town
Member of Parliament for Odododiodoo Nii Lantey Vanderpuye has allegedly been beaten to a pulp by some operative of the National Security Operatives.
Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye is a Ghanaian sports journalist and politician and the current Member of Parliament of the Odododiodoo constituency.
According to Mr. Vanderpuye, two operatives of the National Security accompanied by 10 others attacked him in front of the James Town Police station.
He said he has gone to the police station to secure bail for a journalist who had been arrested while working for him.
Nii revealed he rushed to the police state to intervene, upon his arrival at the James Town Police Station, 12 persons from the National Security some of whom had guns by their sides approached him and hit him in the chest.
Mr. Vanderpuye revealed that he was brutalized by these men and it took the intervention of the police to stop the National Security Operatives from doing more damage to him.
