Nikki Samonas, a Ghanaian actress famous for her pretty looks has lamented after discovering that her photos are being used by scammers online to defraud people.
According to the actress, about sixteen fake social media pages has been created with her name and photos, claiming to be of hers.
These pages advertise for movie auditions and extort money from young people who want to enter the movie industry. In a series of tweets, she sternly warned perpetrators of this act to stop tainting her image and reputation.
She threatened to liaise with the police in order to bring these people to book. She tweeted, “Waaa look at this nonsense. And they will take 150gh on top from these kids who are already struggling to make money. Fraudulent nonsense. Delete yourself. The police is coming fro you”.
The public is advised to take note and save themselves from falling victims to these fraudsters.
