President Nana Akufo-Addo has reassured the public that the recent power challenges have been effectively dealt with.
Speaking at the annual May Day celebration in Accra, he expressed confidence in the resolution of the issues.
Acknowledging the patience exhibited by Ghanaians during the challenges, the President extended gratitude to the citizens.
Notably, the government refrained from implementing a load shedding timetable despite calls from both the public and power regulators.
Despite previous assertions by the government denying the existence of power challenges, the Energy Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, controversially dismissed calls for a load-shedding timetable.
President Akufo-Addo highlighted the successful resolution of issues surrounding transformers and gas supply, resulting in significant improvements in power supply reliability.
He affirmed the government’s commitment over the past seven years to ensure consistent electricity provision, expressing confidence in overcoming any future challenges.
