A Russian hospital reportedly disciplined a nurse, who was performing her duties in an all-male Covid-19 hospital ward, in Central Russia, whilst wearing a protective attire which showed off her underwear.
In photos that have gone viral, the unidentified nurse is seen wearing a see-through protective gown, which shows off her bikini top and bottom whilst attending to patients.
The nurse reportedly works at Tula Regional Clinical Hospital, about 160 kilometers south of Moscow.
The ailing male patients didn’t file complaints, however, the hospital administration staff was not pleased and punished the nurse for non-compliance with the requirements for medical clothing.
According to reports, the young nurse allegedly told her supervisors that it was too hot to wear her uniform underneath the protective gown, so she decided to just wear the gown alone.
Many health officials around the world have stated how uncomfortable it is, wearing PPE over their uniforms.
She also said she didn’t realize that the gown was see-through, to such an extent that it would raise alarm and cause some people to be uncomfortable.
It is said there were no objections from the men on the ward, although it was suggested that they couldn’t resist taking a peek or two at the nurse.
The nurse hasn’t spoken about the incident publicly and the disciplinary measures taken are yet to be revealed.
Some people praised the young nurse for injecting a dose of humor into an otherwise dreary situation and asked why they punished the nurse when just the sight of her outfit makes anyone forget about dying.
