OceanGate Inc. is a privately held U.S. company operating out of Everett, Washington, that provides crewed submersibles for tourism, industry, research, and exploration.
A Titanic expedition tour submarine on a mission of exploration sponsored by the company has gone missing as the submarine runs out of oxygen.
Five people who are reported to be trapped in the submarine paid $250,000 each for the tour of the Titanic Wreck on the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.
The submarine is controlled by a video game joystick.
There’s a desperate hunt ongoing for the Titan submersible that vanished on Sunday in the North Atlantic on an expedition to the wreck of the Titanic.
It has now emerged that OceanGate was repeatedly warned of serious safety flaws, which they ignored.
