Nii Odartey Lamptey, a former Black Stars’ player who was in the news for his ex-wife infidelity which lead to their divorce has finally spoken out about it.
Odartey Lamptey ended his 21 year old marriage with ex-wife Gloria Lamptey over infidelity after he allegedly caught her cheating behind his back.
Odartey was then forced to undertake a DNA test to verify if his three children are his, of which the test proved negative.
The football star has since been very private about the experience until now.
“I thought I was the father but upon rumors that they are not my kids, they said I have to do DNA,” he said in an interview with TV3. He added, “My lawyer showed me where they do the DNA, I got to know that yes, the kids are not mine”. He said.
Speaking on how he felt about the entire situation, Odartey revealed that is was a difficult situation to fine out that his children were not his.
“I know, It was a difficult situation, I was very close with the children and for me to be able to do this, I told them I have an infection in my throat and upon doctors advise, I should be able to cure theirs now otherwise when they grow, they will have problems…”.
The former Anderlecht player revealed that he spent over GH¢ 4000 to undertaking the DNA test and has said that he doesn’t think any human being can go through any pain than finding out that his kids aren’t his.
Odartey ended his 21-year married with Gloria Lamptey, remarried in 2016 to actress and model Ruweida Yakuba, fathering two girls with her.
