On Campus, You Must Wear Pants And Brassieres Or Else, Tertiary Students Warned (Details)

Students at the Federal Polytechnic in Ilaro, Ogun State have been warned by the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) that penalties will result from failure to wear panties and brassieres on campus.

When warning students against wearing provocative clothing on campus, SRC, a branch of the Students Union Government, made this information clear.

A circular bearing Sulaiman Adedamola’s signature, the council representative, contains the warning.

Adedamola pointed out that wearing slacks and bras to class has become mandatory.
He claims that it is out of respect for the school’s guidelines and for the other kids.

You must wear pants and a bra when on campus, it is imperative. This is a must, not a recommendation. You will suffer the repercussions and even face disciplinary action if you don’t cooperate.

Wearing suitable apparel at all times will show your respect for your fellow students and the school’s rules, according to the statement.

There have been rumors that the Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) administration declared that any student who brought a car with tinted windows to class would be suspended for one semester while the car was seized.
In an internal memo sent to pupils in August of last year, the school disclosed this.

Sanctions were also mentioned for a variety of popular student dress choices.
The administration of the school threatened to suspend any pupils seen in worn-out or backless clothing, bum shorts, or other short and skimpy attire.

The school also forbade tattoos, nose, lip, and eye (additional) rings, backless clothing, as well as “crazy” hairstyles for men, earrings for men, and cowries for women.
Additionally, it forbade mothers who were breastfeeding or pregnant from staying in hostels and from having their young children with them.
Except in cases of extreme medical need, bathroom slippers were not permitted in the classroom, the library, or the office.
