People React To Lilwin’s Decision To Run For A Seat In Parliament (Details)

In a surprise move into politics, well-known Kumawood actor Lil Win announced his decision to run for the parliamentary seat in the Afigya Kwabre South constituency.

Kwadwo Nkansah, as he is referred to in the entertainment industry, aspires to advance this cause as an independent candidate in the Ashanti Region.

LilWin made the decision to run for office as a result of the encouragement and support he received from the elders and local leaders in the constituency.

He asserted that these influential locals strongly encouraged him to take up the cause and run for the seat.

Lil Win claimed that the chiefs had approached him with the idea of running as an independent for the parliamentary seat in a recent appearance on Okay FM in Accra.

“I was in a position where a group of elders approached me in October of last year. They had already talked about the prospect of me running as an independent for their MP.

They promised to work hard to ensure my victory in the election, LilWin said.

He added that his most recent film, “Mr. President,” saw an increase in their persistence after its debut.

“Even though I initially said I wasn’t interested, they persisted in urging me to run as an independent so I wouldn’t alienate any of my followers, whether they be from the NPP, NDC, or CPP.

LilWin recalled, “They also said that I will be given an English language tutor so that I can speak more clearly and express myself.”

When discussing his plans for the neighborhood, LilWin emphasized his commitment to addressing the problems faced by local youth, particularly those coping with challenges related to drugs and alcohol.

He declared that he intended to concentrate on employment creation as a way to lessen the difficulties that young people face.
