During last Saturday’s UTV’s United Showbiz, veteran Ghanaian musician Kwabena Kwabena expressed skepticism about the feasibility of the Play Ghana Initiative.
The initiative, backed by industry figures like Samini, Reggie Rockstone, and Black Sherif, aims to promote a 100% play of Ghanaian music throughout the country for the month of December.
However, Kwabena Kwabena, known for his candid views, argued that the music industry operates under the dominance of financial considerations.
He emphasized that the industry is heavily influenced by the power of money, indicating that financial motivations often dictate the choices made in the music scene.
Kwabena Kwabena’s remarks has since then sparked a discussions on the role of money in shaping the dynamics of the Ghanaian music industry.
