The Ghana Police has arrested 29 people for allegedly assaulting a police officer and seizing his riot control weapon at Luhuor Near Sege in Ada.
The 29 people have further been arraigned before a court following their arrest.
The Ghana Police has released a statement on the situation.
According to the details gathered by occupygh.com, 29 people assaulted two police officers. They further managed to seize their ammunition at Sege.
This happened on 21st October 2021 when three police officers were responding to a distress call at Electrochem Ghana Limited.
The officer came under attack from some members of the community who block the road leading to the company.
Some suspects then managed to take the officers hostage and assault them.
