A policewoman at the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service has been arrested for severely beating the secret lover of her husband, Rita Ogoli who is a Nigerian.
The Policewoman identified as Lance Corporal Therese Mombi Lazames allegedly ganged up with Akrasi Sam (believed to be the ex-boyfriend of Rita Ngoli) and attacked her.
It is believed that Rita is allegedly having a romantic relationship with the husband of the DOVVSU Officer who is senior Policeman in the Ashanti Region.
According to the Police, Rita reported the assault to the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit as she was severely wounded.
She had deep cuts all over her head with marks on her left hand which shows she was viciously assaulted.
The offenders are currently on the police enquiry bail after the victim was asked to undergo medical examination and treatment to assist in investigations.
However, the husband of the DOVVSU Officer, Lance Corporal Therese Mombi Lazames was on a medical checkup in Accra when the incident happened.
