Ghanaian cleric Rev Obofour, founder of Anointed Palace Chapel, has sparked outrage with his latest declaration.
He vowed never to pray for his church members’ financial success, fearing they may abandon his congregation once blessed with wealth.
Rev Obofour cited the biblical story of Jesus and the ten lepers, highlighting the ingratitude of those who failed to return and thank Jesus after being healed.
He expressed concerns that a similar scenario might unfold in his church, with members leaving once they achieve financial stability.
Instead, Rev Obofour stated he will focus on his own financial pursuits, emphasizing “I will hustle for my own money.” This stance has drawn mixed reactions, with critics labeling it unchristian and others seeing it as pragmatic.
