Robert Mugabe has died at the age of 95: Sad news coming out from Singapore indicates that former Zimbabwe President, Robert Mugabe has died at the age of 95.
OccupyGh.com has gathered that the former Prime Minister of Zimbabwe from 1980 to 1987 and then as President from 1987 to 2017 passed on from an illness while in Singapore.
According to the family who confirmed his death, Robert Mugabe was receiving treatment in a hospital in Singapore.
A Twitter post by Zimbabwe president Emmerson Mnangagwa has read on Friday morning;
“It is with the utmost sadness that I announce the passing on of Zimbabwe’s founding father and former President, Cde Robert Mugabe…
His contribution to the history of our nation and continent will never be forgotten. May his soul rest in eternal peace,”.
Mugabe was ousted as president in 2017 following a nationwide mass protest. His then vice President took office as president of Zimbabwe.
