The Royal Baby Boy has arrived after Meghan Markle went into labour some hours ago. Prince Harry The Duke and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex welcomed a baby boy, as announced on the @sussexroyal Instagram account Monday morning.
A Palace statement further shared that the baby was born at 5:26 a.m. at 7 pounds, 3 ounces, though no name was given.
“The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Earl Spencer have been informed and are delighted with the news,” the statement read.
Baby Boy Sussex is the eighth great-grandchild for the Queen, and he is now seventh in line to the throne, behind, in order, Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, and his/her father, Prince Harry.
The Royal Baby boy will be behind the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Cambridge and his children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – and the Duke of Sussex.
The couple announced the pregnancy publicly on 15 October 2018 – the first day of their royal tour of Australia and New Zealand, Telegraph UK reports.
The duchess was last seen on an official engagement on 19 March when she signed a book of condolences in London with Harry for the victims of the Christchurch terror attack.
