Joshua Boakye, 26, of Wassa Dadieso in the western area, also known as Daakyehene Pilato, allegedly committed himself after breaking up with his girlfriend.
Abena Badu, a reporter for Kessben FM in the Western Region, reported that Pilato was discovered dead in his chamber with a rope around his neck.
Pilato’s mother evidently believed that his son had gone out with friends, but this was untrue.
Pilato’s mother and other family members started searching for their missing relative because they didn’t think he was home at that time because his door was shut.
Pilato was nowhere to be seen, so they decided to break down the door to his room, where they were horrified of discover his lifeless body hanging.
His close friends acknowledged that the preceding two weeks had not been pleasant for them, and they had counselled him to find new relationships after his girlfriend dumped him.
Pilato’s name was Daakyehene because he came from a royal family and was the heir apparent to a throne.
