
<p>The unfortunate news that Ghanaian lawyer Anthony Akoto Ampaw passed away has just surfaced.</p>



<p>There are rumours that Lawyer Akoto Ampaw, a well-known attorney, passed away at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) earlier today, Friday, October 20, 2023.</p>



<p>According to the information at hand, the astute attorney&#8217;s health has declined since the start of 2023.</p>



<p>After the President signed the Office of the Special Prosecutor&#8217;s Bill, he was expected to be named the Special Prosecutor.</p>



<p>The deceased attorney led the group of attorneys that successfully defended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo in the 2016 election petition.</p>



<p>He was a member of the legal team for the election petition in 2013.</p>



<p>Lawyer Akoto Ampaw was a partner in Akufo-Addo&#8217;s legal practise, Akufo-Addo, Prempeh &; Co., until his untimely death.</p>



<p>May he rest in eternal peace with God.</p>
