Ghana’s acclaimed dancehall – King Charles Nii Armah Mensah, stage name Shatta Wale has been crowned with 2 awards at the just ended International Reggae and World Music Awards IRAWMA which was held in Jamaica last night.
Shatta Wale who was overly excited about his achievement took to his social media handle to announce his victory to his fans as this year seems to be a good one for the talented artiste.
The ‘ayoo’ hitmaker after bagging 8 awards at the 3 Music Awards got nominated for Best afrobeat Entertainer and Best Music Video for his hit song ‘Gringo’ at IRAWMA 2019.
The former Zylofon signee won the awards for Best Music Video for his ‘Gringo’ song and Afro Beats artist of the year at the just held IRAWMA.
The SM boss took to his twitter handle to thank God and his fans for voting for him to bag 2 awards at IRAWMA 2019.
“The good news is we just won an award last night in jamaica at the 2019 IRAWMA AWARDS .. Infact am speechless but I will have to thank God for this great honor and the shatta movement empire for voting .. Let’s celebrate this award people ..it’s a world wide thing !!!” he wrote.
Shatta Wale in another tweet shared photos of the two awards he won as he thanked the organizers of IRAWMA, the management team in the US, the manager in Jamaica, producers and all his fans for their unending support.
