In a sad update from Ogun, Nigeria, six men have died mysteriously from drinking a friend’s local gin that was served at a bar.
The sad incident occurred in Ogbogbo community, Ijebu-North East Local Government Area of the state on Tuesday, where seven friends had gathered for merry-making.
According to the details gathered, d the six friends were at a bar while their friend served them a local gin.
The drinks served was reportedly the friend’s was of mending their differences following an argument they had in the earlier moment in the same day.
The story further reveals that few hours after the six persons return to their homes after consuming the substance, two of them died while four others were hospitalized.
The other four persons reportedly died the following day. However, the whereabouts of the man who brought the alcohol is yet to be known.
Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Omolola Odutola who confirmed the incident, said; “I just confirmed something like that occurred, but the families said they are not pressing charges and prefer to bury their dead”.
