Ghanaian military soldiers in recent times have been the ones who guard Bullion Vans transporting money across the country.
This is because of the several armed robbery attacks on bullion vans which always put the lives of Policemen in danger, something leaving them dead.
In previous years, bullion vans have been attacked on several occasions while transporting money from one bank to the other.
The Ghana Army is more reliable and serious when it comes to combating these armed robbers with how well they are armed and trained. There has been zero records of Armed Robbers attacking Bullion Van with soldiers on guard.
However, on the 27th of March, 2023, Soldiers guarding a Bullion Van allegedly clashed with Policemen in traffic after a Police Officer directing traffic delayed them in traffic for a long.
Guarding a Bullion Van is a dangerous duty and must be a free flow of traffic for the Van which angered the Soldiers to confront the Police on duty which ended in a quarrel.
