Breaking news reaching us at OccupyGh.com indicates that the South African High Commission has been shut down temporarily by the South African government amidst xenophobic unrest.
OccupyGh.com has gathered that the shutdown has been communicated as necessity in order to protect the safety of workers in the commission.
Spokesperson of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation, Lunga Ngqengelele has said that his office has been in talks with the Nigerian government and there is an assurance to protect businesses and properties belonging to South Africans.

“We have been in communication with the Nigerian government and we have been assured of the protection of the businesses belonging to South Africans”.
