A group of notorious armed robbers met their match when they attempted to rob the FN Bank branch at Spintex 18 Junction in Accra yesterday.
A video of the dramatic incident, which has since gone viral on social media, captures the intense gunfire exchange between the robbers and the police.
Eyewitnesses report that the robbers, masked and armed, stormed the bank and demanded all available cash from the tellers.
However, their plans were swiftly thwarted when a quick-thinking customer, who was at the bank to withdraw money, alerted the police.
Authorities responded promptly, arriving at the scene in time to engage and overpower the robbers.
