Stephen Appiah, ex-captain of the Black Stars, is set to enter the race for the Ayawaso West Wuogon (AWW) parliamentary election in 2024.
Sources indicate he’ll run as an independent candidate, challenging John Dumelo of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the incumbent Lydia Seyram Alhassan of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Analysts have long seen AWW as a pivotal seat, often swinging between the NDC and NPP.
