Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale In Court: This Is What Transpired

The Accra Regional Police Command today 22nd May, 2019, put the two dancehall artistes, Livingston Etse Satekla aka Stonebwoy and Charles Nii Armah Mensah alias Shatta Wale before the Adjabeng District Court following their arrest over the weekend.

The two were arrested and detained on Sunday 19th May 2019 after Charterhouse lodged a complain against them for their behaviour at the 2019 VGMA

They were however granted bail on the 20th of May, 2019 and were arraigned before the court today.

In a police statement signed by the head of public affairs Afia Tenge, the two were charged with Offensive Conduct Conducive to Breaches of the Peace, contrary to Section 207(1) of the Criminal and Other Offenses Act, 1960 (ACT 29).

Also Stonebwoy was in addition charged with the Display of Weapon in a Public Place without permission contrary to Section 7(1) and 26(1)(a) of the Arms and Ammunition ACT-1972 (NRCD.9).

The two however pleaded not guilty to the charges leveled against them and have been admitted to bail in the sum of Fifty Thousand Ghana Cedis (50,000.00) each.

The case according to the police, has been adjourned to 20th June, 2019.
