An annual street horse racing that has been going on Kano in Nigeria for decades has taken a wild turn this year.
Several participants of the racing have been severely injured as many of them got their heads and bodies smashed to walls due to the speed of their horses.
However, spectators at the event cheered them up through their windows and at the edges of the roads as they record them on their phones and gadgets. Passers-by who had no idea of the event also got crashed accidentally by these horses which were on top speed.
Many people have expressed their displeasure towards this activity and termed it as ‘outmoded.’
